What is the difference between Medicare services and Private Duty Services?

Answer: Private duty services are paid out of pocket or from an insurance policy usually. They cover ADL assistance that can be from a few hours, up to 24 hours a day. In most cases since the duration of such care can go on for weeks, months or years, the services are considered long term care.

Generally, Medicare does not pay for long-term care, however, Medicare may pay for a limited amount of home nursing care for Seniors.
